What makes our new product available on the market?

END OF CLASS 5 - DIRECTION SETS ECODESIGN!
The so-called. 5 class environmental quality and energy efficiency of boilers C.O. according to DIN EN 303 - 5: 2012 just gone to rest. Now the direction of the development of equipment sets new Ecodesign Directive (known as the Ecodesign Directive). Thanks to stringent environmental requirements set out rules actually apply in real life, not just in the testing laboratory boilers. Ecodesign certificate is a guarantee of high quality heating equipment.

Boilers during the annual life cycle of very short run at maximum power. The remaining period of the time working with reduced power, ie. In maintenance mode (this is particularly true for coal boilers) and parking. The values ​​of emissions while achieving minimum power are higher when compared with the work of the maximum power. Implementing Regulation Ecodesign Directive remedies this issue by introducing limits for emissions of particulate matter, organic gaseous compounds (OGC), carbon monoxide and oxides of nitrogen (NOx), both at maximum power and minimum.

Ecodesign also introduces the term seasonal energy efficiency.

In short: The energy efficiency of the boiler efficiency = less energy consumption

Already there are now so important parameters under the nominal and minimum boiler in the first place is seasonal energy efficiency space heating (ηs) meaning, expressed as a percentage, the ratio of demand for space heating in a particular heating season, provided by solid fuel boiler, to the annual energy required to meet this demand. Seasonal energy efficiency central heating boilers with a nominal heat output of 20 kW or less can not be less than 75%. Seasonal energy efficiency central heating boilers with a rated thermal input exceeding 20 kW can not be less than 77%.


The new requirement is a threshold determination of emissions responsible for acid rain, nitrogen oxides (NOx). Emissions, expressed as nitrogen dioxide equivalent, for the seasonal heating may not exceed 200 mg / m3 for biomass boilers and 350 mg / m3 in the case of fossil fuel burners.

Emissions of particulate matter on the seasonal heating may not exceed 40 mg / m3 in the case of boilers with automatic feeding of fuel and 60 mg / m3 in the case of boilers with manual loading of fuel. Emissions of organic compounds can not exceed 20 mg / m3 (tray) and 30 mg / m3 (manual loading). In turn limit for carbon monoxide is 500 mg / m3 and 700 mg / m3.
Equally important criterion boilers by Ecodesign Directive is electricity consumption during operation. From 1 April 2017, all heating devices sold in the EU will be covered by the labeling, informing about energy class device. The company "KOSTRZEWA" is prepared for this change.

2022 all heating devices approved for sale must hold a certificate "Ecodesign". The company "KOSTRZEWA" implements these requirements. KOSTRZEWA brand devices with a capacity of 16, 24, 32, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 285 kW already hold a certificate confirming compliance with EU requirements, in terms of emission and energy efficiency set by the Directive. Certificate "Ecodesign" is required from investors acceding to the projects in the priority axes of the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment 2014-2020.
